Just one act of kindness…
Do whatever you have to do to protect yourself!
Whether its from traumatic experiences, people, places or things
Someone recently told me something that set me free;
“Nobody can tell you how heavy your rocks are. Nor do they understand the depth of the toll it takes on your own mind, body, and soul.”
In order to save others, you must first start with self.
I tend to say this to people and myself a lot and it seems like a cliche statement, but little do we know the cliches be the best life hacks. The word cliche itself is like the cousin to the word humble. It works for certain situations and other times it feels like an insult. Theres a time and a place for everything.
I’ve observed a lot of people around me play this game of ‘catch-up’ that is all made up in their head or a wanting to be ahead of the game, also just a false memory inside.
“If I work 10x as hard now I won’t have to do much later.”
Although that’s partially true, you cannot succeed if you do not take time to rest. I do not mean lay around and be lazy I mean rest in self-care. What does this look like? Whatever is positive, no substances, no clinging onto anyone else, just you and God.
Go be in nature more, hug trees, dive in your nearest river, we all came from nature, where do you think the phrase “Get back to my roots.” come from. Don’t believe me?
Fine, I challenge you for a week if you’re willing...
Search and go for places you havent been before, Whether its a few miles away or a plane ticket away wherever God leads you. Intentionally leave your phone in the car and go on nature trail walks, go bird/cloud watching, lay in an open field in silence.
This has been working for me and I have watched it work for many people I have brought along. But I say this again and DO NOT take this lightly be by yourself more.
No phones, no music, no noise.
Listen to what your thoughts are telling you, replace all the negative ones with positive ones, and watch the world change around you.
“The enemy is the inner me, trying to make me the enemy.”
If nobody told you recently I will…
You’re doing amazing and I truly love you and want nothing but the best for you! I don’t care that I don’t know you, I know that, I know that, I know! That I want you to win just as much as I want me to win. I never want to see anyone heartbroken, confused, traumatized and/or STUCK in their mind and they have no idea the damage their causing to themselves and others. I once was in that mental state now. I strive every day to help others get out of it.
Know that God will never beat you down or condemn! EVER! Even when you’re doing wrong.
I had a talk with Jesus recently and I said something out my mouth that was so simple, but it made me cry tears of joy. Cause the world can be a scary, wild, dark place at times.
I recently said
“God, I thank you for just being so nice to me. A lot of people in my life have and continue to be so mean to me for no reason and they don’t understand why I don’t want to be mean, but you are always so nice no matter what and I thank you for that love and gentle kindness.”
